Optimmune Usage Tips

Step 1

Wear gloves when applying the ointment, and avoid getting the ointment on your skin or in your eyes. Always wash your hands, and any skin that has been in contact with the ointment, thoroughly with soap and water immediately after treating your dog.

There are 3.5g of Optimmune in a 10g tube. A degree of air is to be expected, so squeeze the tube very carefully and always from the bottom upwards. Squeeze the tube from the bottom. Do NOT roll or fold the tube as it may split and cause wastage.

Step 2

Much of the ointment will be in the flat end of the tube. However, on first opening and application, be prepared for a small amount of Optimmune to be released from the nozzle.

Step 3

Wipe away any discharge before applying the product. Apply the equivalent of a small grain of rice (5mm) to the inside of the eyelid. The ointment will spread as the dog blinks after application.*

Step 4

Keep your Optimmune at room temperature and out of the sight and reach of children.

Apply Optimmune twice a day at 12 hourly intervals. Discard any unused product after 1 month and begin a fresh tube.
