What does Nobivac FeLV protect against?
For active immunisation of healthy cats to prevent persistent feline leukaemia-virus viraemia and any associated clinical signs of feline leucosis.

What is the onset of immunity for Nobivac FeLV?
The onset of protection begins 2 weeks after immunisation.

What is the duration of immunity for Nobivac FeLV?
The duration of protection lasts one year after the primary vaccination course.
Following a first booster vaccination one year after the primary vaccination course, a duration of immunity of 3 years has been demonstrated.

Can Nobivac FeLV be used in pregnancy?
Do not use in pregnant cats.
The use is not recommended during lactation.

What are the storage requirements for Nobivac FeLV?
Nobivac FeLV requires storage in a refrigerator between 2 oC and 8 oC. Do not freeze. Protect from sunlight.

Are there any breed specific contraindications for Nobivac FeLV?
There are no breed specific contraindications for Nobivac FeLV.

Can Nobivac FeLV be mixed with other Nobivac vaccines?
Safety and efficacy data are available which demonstrate that this vaccine can be mixed and administered with cat vaccines of the Nobivac range containing feline calicivirus (F9 strain), feline rhinotracheitis virus (G2620A strain) and/or feline panleucopenia virus (MW-1 or Bristol strain).
Do not mix with other medicinal products except cat vaccines of the Nobivac range containing feline calicivirus (F9 strain), feline rhinotracheitis virus (G2620A strain) and/or feline panleucopenia virus (MW-1 or Bristol strain).
No information is available on the safety and efficacy of this vaccine when used with any other veterinary medicinal product except the products mentioned above. A decision to use this vaccine before or after another veterinary medicinal product therefore needs to be made on a case by case basis.

What is the interval for Nobivac FeLV for primary course?
A first injection in cats from minimum 8 weeks of age.
A second injection of cats 3 to 4 weeks later.

What is the revaccination protocol for Nobivac FeLV?
Following a first booster vaccination one year after the primary vaccination course, subsequent vaccinations can be performed at intervals of three years.
Nobivac FeLV can be used to reconstitute 1 dose (1 vial) of cat vaccines of the Nobivac range containing feline calicivirus (F9 strain), feline rhinotracheitis virus (G2620A strain) and/or feline panleucopenia virus (MW-1 or Bristol strain) immediately prior to use by the addition of the contents of one vial (1 ml) of Nobivac FeLV.

What is the minimal dose for vaccinations?
Each vaccine is formulated on the basis of a minimum immunising dose, not a dose per body weight. Therefore the full vaccine dose/reconstituted amount is the minimal immunising dose.

What are the storage requirements for Nobivac vaccines?
In order for the product shelf-life to be as it is stated on the product's SPC it should be stored as per the datasheet's storage requirements. This will always be our recommendation for product use.
In the case of any doubt it would be advisable to contact the Technical Product Support team before discarding any product.
In the event where it is advisable to discard product it may be possible to claim on the practice's insurance. Our Technical Product Support team can write a letter of support for insurance claims, pertaining to deviations in storage conditions, should you require it.
