Innovax®-ILT-IBD is a dual-construct HVT vaccine that provides your birds with long-term protection against three of the most important infectious diseases that threaten your business today, Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILT), Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) and Marek’s Disease (MD).

Innovax®-ILT-IBD is a dual-construct HVT vaccine that expresses antigens from both ILT and IBDV. When administered to chickens, the vaccine stimulates the immune system to develop protective antibodies against Marek’s disease virus, ILT virus and IBD virus, thereby preventing or reducing the severity of the diseases upon exposure.

Innovax®-ILT-IBD can be used in combination with certain other poultry vaccines, including Nobilis® Rismavac, Nobilis® ND Clone 30, Nobilis® IB Ma5 and Nobilis® IB 4-91.

Innovax®-ILT-IBD provides lifelong protection against MD and 100 weeks protection against ILT & IBD.

HVT (herpesvirus of turkey) is a vaccine virus with a proven safety profile for use in chickens to aid in protection against Marek’s disease. The DNA of this virus is used as a backbone, and gene sequences decoding antigenic proteins from both ILT virus and IBD virus are inserted at a site within the HVT DNA that does not have a significant impact on the function or replication of the HVT itself. These inserts will express antigenic proteins from both ILT and IBD viruses, thus inducing an immune response against both diseases in addition to the protection against Marek’s disease.

No, the vaccine consists of live HVT viruses containing genes to code for proteins produced by ILT and IBD, but there are no live ILT or IBD viruses in the vaccine. The vaccine cannot induce ILT respiratory reaction or IBD-induced bursal atrophy and cannot introduce ILT or IBD to a farm or spread from one farm to another.

Dilution or partial dose of the vaccine may delay the onset of immunity or may reduce efficacy. DO NOT USE LESS THAN THE FULL LABEL-RECOMMENDED DOSAGE. Be aware that ILT and IBD immunity will depend upon replication and expression of the gl and gD and VP2 proteins. If we reduce the number of circulating proteins, the immune response can be diminished, or it may take longer to build to protective levels, leaving birds open to infection until those levels are reached.

The onset of immunity provided by Innovax-ILT-IBD is 5 days old for MD, 4 weeks old for ILT and 3 weeks old for IBD. It is important to maintain good biosecurity to avoid early exposure to ILT infection and it is also important to vaccinate breeder flocks to induce maternally derived antibodies (MDA) that can uniformly protect flocks until the immunity induced by Innovax-ILT-IBD has been developed.

Conventional HVT vaccines will interfere with the response to a HVT construct vaccine, so will other HVT construct vaccines. Innovax®-ILT-IBD should never be used in combination with conventional HVT or other HVT construct vaccines.
