Vivitonin is a treatment prescribed for improvement of circulation, demeanour and breathing in older dogs.
Vivitonin 50 mg tablets are orange-yellow, film-coated tablets.
Vivitonin 100 mg tablets are ochre, biconvex, oblong film-coated tablets, half-scored on one side.
Vivitonin contains propentofylline as the active ingredient.
Vivitonin 50 mg – each tablet contains 50 mg propentofylline.
Vivitonin 100 mg - each tablet contains 100 mg propentofylline.
Indications for use
For improvement in dullness, lethargy and overall demeanour in dogs. Vivitonin is particularly useful in older dogs, where it may increase willingness to exercise and exercise tolerance.
Propentofylline has been shown to increase blood flow, particularly of the heart and skeletal muscle. It also increases the blood flow of the brain and therefore its oxygen supply, without increasing the brain's glucose demand.
Vivitonin 50 mg tablets – Each pack contains 2 blisters of 30 tablets
Vivitonin 100 mg tablets – Each pack contains 6 blisters of 10 tablets
