Vivitonin® Questions and Answers
-
When should I give Vivitonin in relation to feeding?
Vivitonin is recommended to be given at least 30 minutes before feeding. Vivitonin can be administered directly onto the back of the dog's tongue or can be mixed in a small ball of food. Vivitreats provide a convenient option for pet owners rather than having to form a small ball of food each time they administer the medication to their pet.

Are there any interactions of Vivitonin with other medications?
We would not recommend using Vivitonin in conjunction with methylxanthines, such as Corvental (theophylline) or Millophylline (etamiphylline). Pimobendan is also a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, and so we would recommend avoiding using these two products together because of a lack of information on safety of concurrent use of these drugs.
Typically, Vivitonin has a wide safety margin and in normal use is unlikely to lead to significant side effects. Concurrent use with methylxanthines, however, could potentially increase the chance of seeing some of the typical adverse effects seen with these drugs. e.g. restlessness, agitation, excitement, vomiting, diarrhoea, polydipsia, sedation, reduced appetite and polyuria
