Engemycin® 10 % Farm Pack Solution for Injection
Engemycin is an injectable antibiotic solution containing oxytetracycline; effective against a broad spectrum of susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative micro-organisms.
Presentation
An aqueous clear, green to yellow solution, free from visible particles.

Oxytetracycline (as hydrochloride) 100 mg
Target species
Cattle, sheep, pigs and horses.
Indications for use
For the treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline in horses, cattle, sheep and pigs.
In vitro, oxytetracycline is active against a range of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative micro-organisms including: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Mannheimia haemolytica, Haemophilus parahaemolyticus and Bordetella bronchiseptica, and against Chlamydophila abortus (formerly Chlamydia psittaci), the causative organism of enzootic abortion in sheep.
Withdrawal periods
- Cattle - milk 144 hours, meat and offal 21-35 days (see datasheet)
- Sheep - meat and offal 14 days
- Pigs - meat and offal 10-14 days (see datasheet)
Packaging
250 ml amber PET or amber glass type II multi-dose vials closed with a light grey or red-brown halogenated butyl rubber stopper with an aluminium overseal.
