Footvax®
Footvax is a fluid vaccine containing ten strains of inactivated Dichelobacter nodosus with an oil adjuvant. Thiomersal 0.015 % w/v is added as a preservative. It is useful as an aid to treat and prevent footrot in sheep.
Presentation
Emulsion for injection.
Active ingredients
Each dose (1 ml) contains 10 μg pili of each of Dichelobacter nodosus serotypes A, B1, B2, C, D, E, F, G and H and 5 x 108 cells of D. nodosus serotype I. 60 % light mineral oil NF and 4.5 % manide oleate are added as adjuvants. 0.015 % Thiomersal is added as a preservative.
Target species
Sheep.
Indications for use
For the active immunisation of sheep as an aid to the prevention of footrot and reduction of lesions of footrot caused by serotypes of Dichelobacter nodosus.
Withdrawal periods
Sheep - meat zero days.
Packaging
20 ml, 50 ml or 250 ml low density polyethylene flexible pack closed with a pharmaceutical grade butyl rubber bung held in place with an aluminium seal.
