Enzovax®
A live vaccine for the active immunisation of susceptible female breeding sheep to reduce abortion caused by Chlamydophila abortus infection. The vaccine is reconstituted with Unisolve solvent immediately prior to use, allowing 2 ml of solvent per dose. An administration kit including a vented transfer device for vaccine reconstitution and disposable automatic syringe is available.
Presentation
Lyophilisate and solvent for suspension for injection.
Lyophilisate: Off-white to cream-coloured pellet.
Solvent: Colourless solution.
Active ingredients
Chlamydia abortus, strain 1B (thermosensitive), Live, attenuated: 105.0 – 106.9 IFU*
* Inclusion-body forming units.
Target species
Sheep (ewes).
Indications for use
For the active immunisation of susceptible female breeding sheep to reduce abortion caused by Chlamydia abortus infection. A single 2 ml dose of vaccine is required at least 4 weeks before mating. Ewe lambs, where it is intended to breed from them, may be vaccinated from 5 months of age. The vaccine may be used at the same time as Toxovax.
Withdrawal periods
Sheep - Meat and offal 7 days.
Packaging
Cardboard box with 1 vial of vaccine, 1 vial of Unisolve and one transfer spike. Vials containing 10, 20 or 50 doses supplied together with Unisolve.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
