Engemycin is an injectable antibiotic solution containing oxytetracycline; effective against a broad spectrum of susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative micro-organisms.

Active ingredients
Per ml:
100 mg of oxytetracycline (as the hydrochloride).
Target species
Horses, pigs, sheep, cats, cattle, dogs
Indications for use
For the treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline. In vitro, oxytetracycline is active against a range of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms including: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Mannheimia haemolytica, Haemophilus parahaemolyticus, Bordetella bronchiseptica, and against Chlamydophila abortus (formerly Chlamydia psittaci), the causative organism of enzootic abortion in sheep.
Withdrawal periods
- Cattle - milk 6 days, meat 21 - 35 days. Please refer to the data sheet.
- Sheep - meat 14 days
- Pig - meat 10 - 14 days. Please refer to the data sheet.
