Porceptal is a clear, colourless solution for injection containing buserelin
Per ml: Buserelin acetate - 4.2 μg (corresponding to 4 μg buserelin)
Indications for use
Buserelin is a synthetic peptide hormone with the activity analogue to the natural gonadotrophin releasing hormone (GnRH). It induces in the anterior pituitary the release of luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) into the blood.
For use in pigs (sows and gilts) for the induction of ovulation after oestrus synchronisation by weaning (sows) or by administration of a progestin (gilts) to be used as a part of a single fixed time artificial insemination program. Single 2.5 ml intramuscular or subcutaneous injection per animal.
Pigs - meat 0 days
Single glass (type I, Ph. Eur.) vial containing 50 ml (20 doses). Vials are closed with a bromobutyl rubber stopper(type I, Ph. Eur.) and an aluminium crimp cap.
