- 530 acres farmed on Melbourne estate in Derbyshire
- 270-head breeding flock
- 150 store cattle which they finish and 60-head pedigree Longhorn herd
- Aim to buy in as few livestock as possible, breeding own replacements
- Farm rare and native breeds alongside commercial types, showing their Longhorns and Jacob and Texel sheep across the country
Tori and Ben are passionate about providing healthy, high-welfare and sustainably sourced produce to the food chain.
Their beef and lamb is sold through their prize-winning farm shop, which was set up in 2010, or to local butchers and restaurants.
New handling facilities have recently been installed to streamline routine practices such as vaccination against EAE and toxoplasmosis, clostridial disease and pasteurellosis.
They use Scarsdale Vets for input on herd and flock health planning.
